Maths Oasis is an independent education-publishing firm specializing in the publication of mathematics materials and resources for schools and students.
Although we are organised administratively as a company, the Maths Oasis is really a 'movement' to promote open mindedness, nurture practical but fun ways of teaching and learning mathematics and to spread timeless wisdom through our publications. We have given voices to many new ways of discovering mathematics through our flagship publication, the Maths Oasis magazine; an interdisciplinary mathematics theme based magazine for students aged 10 to 13. Offered to local Primary schools on a subscription basis, the Maths Oasis saw more than half of the primary schools subscribing to the magazine in its first year of publication.
We are the organiser of the “Challenge of Creativity Contest 2004”, a nationwide mathematics contest that challenges students’ mathematical abilities and creativity. Students were required to create their own questions based on given attributes. The contest was supported by MENSA Singapore and sponsored by National Matsushita Electric Works (Asia Pacific) Pte Ltd, Strategy Pro International, CASIO by Selectro Selections Pte Ltd and Robotics World.
We are also privileged to be the official administrator of the American Mathematics Contest, organised by the Mathematical Association of America & University of Nebraska-Lincoln since 2005. This contest has attracted more than 150,000 students annually, worldwide.
Maths Oasis is also an active player in the fields of training. Our areas of specialisation include Mathematics Olympiad training and Higher –order thinking maths courses for Primary and Secondary students.
